The first day started with an update about the activities and tasks developed by each work package in the last few months, regarding analysis, coordination, and dissemination/communication activities. In the afternoon, the meeting was opened to Advisory Board and MetReal cluster members, as well as to a selected experts panel. The agenda included the talk “Target Trial Emulation and RCT – Anchored Expansion of Indications with real-world evidence (RWE)” by Dr. Sebastian Schneeweiss (Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital), who discussed, among other topics, how to identify valid and misleading RWE studies. To end the day, the Use Case “Effectiveness and Drug Repurposing: SGLT2 Inhibitors” was presented and some preliminary results were discussed.

On the second day, three deep dive sessions took place and addressed good practice examples, training modules (available soon) and Real4Reg’s 2026 workshops learnings. Furthermore, our esteemed Advisory Board member Dr. Ifthekar Khan showed a demo version of the artificial intelligence synthetic data generation agent ECLIPTICA ®. Finally, a roadmap with the upcoming tasks and activities of each work package was presented, reflecting the efforts needed to achieve Real4Reg’s goals in a timely manner.

Besides being very helpful to analyse the work done so far, show the current steps, and prepare the activities for the upcoming months, this meeting was also a great opportunity for the consortium members to strengthen their relationships.
